"Why did you get involved in your profession?"

I suppose you could have called me a troubled youth. I had had a rough relationship with my parents and then a bunch of unexpected deaths in my family. Yes, those factors indeed troubled me. Anyway, I received a ton of therapy when I was a teen. When I was 19 or so, I decided that I wanted to be a therapist as my life?s work. Along the way I had another career that I started at MIT ? I was an administrator and before leaving for graduate school also began conducting research on medical and bio/medical education.
